As children get a bit older, they get more energy and need to be entertained. It is a good idea to get your child involved in after school programmes. There are three main types of after school activities; educational, recreational and society based (although the latter group is for older children generally).
Educational activities aim at furthering the knowledge of your child. Memory, awareness and understanding are worked on so that learning is easier for children and they develop techniques to help with their studies. For parents who do not feel able to help their children properly with their class work, there are academic programmes that can do this, helping them with their class work and anything they may need extra assistance with. Music lessons are also included in educational after school classes.
